Published continuously since the New Deal City of Greenbelt was founded in 1937, the News Review is delivered free to most Greenbelt residents. In 1970 we won a landmark First Amendment case in the Supreme Court. 

Legislative Recap

On Tuesday, May 2, State Senator Alonzo T. Washington, along with Delegates Anne Healey, Nicole Williams, Ashanti Martinez and Maryland Secretary of Transportation Paul Wiedefeld came to Greenbelt Middle School to give a 2023 legislative recap and take questions from District 22 constituents. Among the topics discussed were the status of the maglev, anticipated completion time for the Purple Line, funding for healthcare and environmental projects, the passage of cannabis legalization, oversight for the PGCPS Board of Education, the Trans Health Equity Act, bills regarding reproductive rights and, of course, the location of the FBI building.
