Advanced Search

The Advanced Search allows you to restrict the time span you look for.  This is useful you if you seek something like “Cooperative” which might have been in many papers throughout our history.  Leaving both date fields blank means you will search every issue since 1937.  Putting in the earlier date means you will search everything after that.  Putting in a stop date will search everything before that.  Putting in both dates will search everything in between.

We have two archives.  One (PDF archive) contains scans of the newspapers as they were published.  These were digitized recently but the quality of the search may vary depending on the condition of the paper original.  The digital archive is the material that is published on the web separately from the print paper and starts only around 2015.  You can elect either or both.

Once you open a PDF or a digital article, you can search within it  for particular words by using Control F on the keyboard.  This opens a small box on the screen for you to type in the word(s) and you can navigate from one instance of the word to the next.
