Juried Art and Craft Fair Both Virtual and In Person

Greenbelt Recreation’s annual juried Art and Craft Fair is taking place in a hybrid format this year. Online sales will be available from Friday, November 26 to Sunday, December 19 at greenbeltmd.gov/craft. The traditional in-person event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 4 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 5 in the Community Center and Youth Center.

The hybrid show promises an impressive array of handmade wares by more than 70 local artisans, as well as merchandise from the Greenbelt Museum and Old Greenbelt Theatre. Some vendors are online only, some are in person only and others will be both online and in person.

Shoppers will find beautiful and useful gifts for all occasions from both new and returning artists, including a wide range of functional and decorative pottery, clothing, accessories, jewelry, toys, paintings, photography, wood crafts, seasonings, soaps, books by local authors and more.

New vendors at the fair this year include Nora Echeverria of Hats and Spats with steampunk accessories and fascinators, and Greenbelter Lucy Dirksen with copper and silver jewelry.

Many vendors participating in the online show are taking advantage of the package concierge service; customers can order online and then pick up their purchases at the Community Center to avoid shipping charges and be sure of receiving their items before the holidays.
