Greenbelters Cast Votes, Many After Long Waits

After months of being inundated with commercials, debates, controversies and political attacks, Greenbelt residents had mixed emotions about casting their ballots for the next President of the United States. Outside the Community Center, Delo – res Goodall and Mona Schlossberg, who have b o t h l i v e d i n G r e e n b e l t f o r over 50 years, were glad the election is almost o v e r. “ We ’ v e been around since Herbert Hoover w a s p r e s i d e n t and have never s e e n a n y t h i n g like this,” said S c h l o s s b e r g . “We just hope whatever happens today is in the best interest of the country,” she added.
