Election 2025: Ten Candidates File For City Council Seats

Monday, September 22 was the deadline to file to run for Greenbelt City Council. This year 10 candidates were certified by the deadline. All incumbents are running for reelection and three challengers will also vie for one of the seven available seats. The candidates are as follows, in the order they will appear on the ballot: Frankie Fritz, William Orleans, Kristen Weaver, Silke Pope, Emmett Jordan, Rodney Roberts, Kevin “Coach K” Lockhart, Danielle McKinney, Jenni Pompi and Amy Knesel.
