Published continuously since the New Deal City of Greenbelt was founded in 1937, the News Review is delivered free to most Greenbelt residents. In 1970 we won a landmark First Amendment case in the Supreme Court. 

Council Candidates Running for Office

Ten certified city council candidates are running for seven seats on the Greenbelt City Council. On September 27, the candidates drew numbers for placement on the November ballot, as well as numbers for placement of their campaign signs.

The candidates, in the order they will appear on the ballot, are:

Rodney Roberts

Alexander Zajac

Judith Davis

Matthew Inzeo

Colin Byrd

Silke Pope

William Orleans

Emmett Jordan

Kristen Weaver.

The candidates’ biographies have been running in the order of their certification by the city. They will answer questions from the newspaper starting next week.
