Computers, General Assembly, Trees Keep City Council Busy

Although the presentation of the 2016 Student Awards by the city’s Advisory Committee on Education (ACE)–which will be reported in a separate story–dominated the May 23 regular meeting of the Greenbelt City Council, quite a few other items were taken up on the agenda as well. Most were additional presentations, including ones from the American Legion Auxiliary and Paradyme Management, as well as a Peace Month proclamation from the mayor and a wrap-up of the recently completed session of the Maryland General Assembly from the city’s state senator and delegates.
