ACE Educators Feted by Council, Dignitaries

The Advisory Committee on Education (ACE) Educator Awards were presented at the Greenbelt City Council meeting on March 14. A standing-room only crowd of awardees, family members, friends, students and school associates was on hand to applaud the winners. A number of school principals and senior administrators were also present. Janet Mirsky, ACE treasurer, introduced other dignitaries, including School Board Member Lupi Grady and Greenbelt’s representative on the Prince George’s County Council, Todd Turner. State Senator Paul Pinsky and State Delegates Anne Healey, Tawanna Gaines and Alonzo Washington could not be present; Joe Schlosnagle presented the Maryland State citations on their behalf.  See story in paper for a description of awardee contributions.
