Project PB&J Greenbelt Yields 1,700 Sandwiches
Police Helped make 2,000 Sandwiches at an event at Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Center in Greenbelt. Chief Kemp, Public Information Officer George Mathews and his daughter Hanna joined dozens of Greenbelters making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Donated to Martha’s Table in Washington, these sandwiches will help feed the hungry.

Last week Acting Police Chief Thomas Kemp took part in an effort to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for those in need, which took place at the Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center in Greenbelt. Kemp was joined by Police Spokesman George Mathews, his daughter Hanna and about 45 volunteers from throughout the Greenbelt area. Project PB&J Greenbelt Yields 1,700 Sandwiches Staff and volunteers making PB&J sandwiches assembly-line style. The drive was a success: 1,700 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were made, bagged, boxed and donated to Martha’s Table in Washington, D.C. Martha’s Table has been providing food, education and employment opportunities for those in need for over 37 years.
